About PTSA

Why Join PTSA?  The #1 reason to join the Parent, Teacher, Student Association (PTSA) is to support FMHS and your child. The FMHS PTSA is dedicated to making FMHS the best environment for educating your students that it can be. By joining, you are supporting our efforts. Studies show that kids perform better in school when parents are involved. Grades are higher. Test scores improve. Attendance increases. Involved parents are informed parents.

What Does the PTSA Do?  The PTSA at Flower Mound High School provides programs and services to parents, students, and teachers. We communicate relevant school and community information. We coordinate volunteers for needs throughout the school, and support our teachers through hospitality programs and campus grants. We award scholarships for graduating seniors. We coordinate the National PTA Reflections program to support the Arts, and our students have been recognized at the State level. Our PTSA leaders participate in training and advocacy efforts locally and state-wide.

Benefits for PTSA Members  PTA members can receive discounts on Dell computers, at rental car companies such as Enterprise, travel benefits at properties like Great Wolf Lodge and La Quinta Inns, discounted rates with Nationwide Insurance, and discounted admission to Schlitterbahn, Six Flags Fiesta Texas, Sea World and Texas Ranger games. For more information and to access benefits, visit the Texas PTA Website and the National PTA website

Why Should Students Join the PTSA?  Did you know that students in grades 9-12 can join PTSA, participate in meetings, and hold office? Did you know that many scholarships for graduating seniors require membership of both the parent and the student? Membership in the PTSA is also an activity that can be listed on college applications. Don’t wait! Join the FMHS PTSA today! A Membership Form can be found here; complete and mail to Flower Mound High School, PTSA Membership, 3411 Peters Colony, Flower Mound, 75022
